How do I mark a bill as partially paid?

TimelyBills allows you to record a partial payment against a bill. After the payment is recorded, the bill reminder remains active for the outstanding amount until the bill is fully paid.

Note: TimelyBills records and tracks the payment only it does not process or transfer money to the biller.

Steps to pay partial amount of a bill

1. Launch the TimelyBills app on your device

2. Go to the Bills and select the Upcoming section to view your pending bills.

3. Tap on the Bill you’d like to partially pay.

4. Tap on Mark as Paid to open the payment details screen

5. Review important bill information such as:

• Total amount
• Payment date
• Linked account
• Notes (Optional)

6. Tap More Options to view additional payment options

7. Select Pay Partial option.

8. Enter the partial Amount you have paid.

9. Tap Mark as Paid to confirm the partial payment

10. You’ll be redirected to the Bill details screen to view:

• The amount already paid
• The remaining amount

What happens to the bill reminder?

The bill will not be marked as fully paid after a partial payment. Its reminder will remain active for the outstanding amount.

When you record another payment for the same bill, our system will automatically display only the remaining balance. It helps to keep a track of the amount still due and prevents you from accidentally recording more than the outstanding amount.

Once the entire remaining balance has been recorded as paid, the bill will be marked as fully paid.
